Jugar al Panuelo (Tissue game)
What you need:
Two tissues.
How to play:
With two lines, two equally sized pitches are
marked out and then divided with a line through
the middle.
Two equally sized teams are selected. The members
of both teams are numbered from 1, and upwards
until each child has a number.
The children from each team stand on the boundary
line in their part of the pitch. A games master
stands on the centre line and calls out a number.
He or she holds out a tissue in each hand.
The children from both teams with that particular
number start running towards the middle, then
grab the tissue that is to the right of them,
and continue to the other team's line.
On the line, a child holds out his/her arm. The
running child loosely ties the tissue to their
arm and runs back to his or her own team. There,
they untie the other team's tissue, run back to
the games master in the middle, and tie it to
his/her arm again. After that, they run back to
their own team.
The child who gets back to their own team first
is the winner of this round.
Variation:
The child who loses the round is out. Another
child from the team takes over their number, in
addition to their own. The game continues until
all children from one team are out.
